Music On Stage is seeking Directors, Choreographers, and Music Directors for our 2026-2027 Season
In order to achieve the highest quality productions possible, we are looking for creative, talented and experienced production staff who are interested in creating theatrical magic on our stage. The stipend for Directors is $1,500. The stipend for Choreographers will be $1,000. Music Directors that teach vocals and conduct the orchestra will receive a stipend of $1,500.

Shows are performed at The Cutting Hall Performing Arts Center in Palatine, IL.
The Process
Potential Directors, Choreographers, and Music Directors will need to submit a production proposal and their resume to the MOS Board for consideration no later than Monday April 6, 2026. The proposal should include a vision for the show, estimated number of rehearsals for their focus area, and any budget needs. The Board will review the proposals and interview candidates. Interviews will occur in Palatine, IL.
Potential candidates can apply for a single show or multiple shows. If applying for multiple shows, a separate production proposal should be submitted for each show, and candidates will be considered for each show independently.
The Board of Directors will notify all candidates of acceptance or decline. Final decisions typically take four to six weeks after the deadline closes.
