YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN is directed by Jorge Bermudez, choreographed by Micki Smolenski, with music direction by Sarah Inendino and assistant music director Donovan Mickels.



Audition Details


**Dance experience is not necessary, we can work with performers of all abilities and teach you the moves you need to know!**
*** Not all roles are dancing roles ***

What to prepare

Prepare 32 bars of an up-tempo song or a ballad in the style of the show.  Bring sheet music in the correct key with your start and stop points clearly marked.

 

There will be dance at both auditions and callbacks. Wear clothes you can move in and bring dance shoes.  Street shoes will not be permitted in the studio.

 

Expect to stay for the full hour block to do both your song and dance auditions.

Important dates

If chosen for the cast, only three conflicts will be allowed during the 8 weeks of rehearsals and no conflicts will be allowed during tech week or performances.

 

Rehearsals for YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN will be held in Palatine beginning August 4th, 2024.

Sundays from 6-10pm,

Monday through Thursday from 7-10pm

 

Tech Week is Sunday September 29th through Friday October 4th.

The performance schedule is as follows:

Sat October 5th @ 8pm

Sun October 6th @ 3pm

Sat October 12th @ 2 & 8pm

Sun October 13th @ 3pm

Sat October 19th @ 2 & 8pm

Sun October 20th @ 3pm

If you are unable to attend auditions, we are accepting limited video submissions, but you will have to attend callbacks in person. Please sign up for a video audition slot, fill out an online form and send your video no later than Sunday July 14th directly to: production@musiconstage.org
